Ports America’s Port Newark Container Terminal (“PNCT”) has been presented with the prestigious annual New York Shipping Association’s Safety Award for Greatest Year over Year Reduction in Lost Time Accident Frequency Rate (“LTIFR”).

This impressive achievement was attributed to recording the greatest year over year reduction of lost time incident frequency rate compared to other marine terminals in the Port of New York/New Jersey. PNCT experienced a 49.2% reduction in LTIFR compared to 2019 results.

Safety is a key pillar of Ports America’s corporate values and is driven by a Zero Harm policy. The health, wellness, and safety of Ports America’s employees and their families is the top priority for the organization. The culture of safety is evident in all Ports America’s terminals and we are extremely proud of PNCT being recognized for their impressive accomplishment.
