Ports America is the largest and most experienced terminal operator, stevedore, steamship agency and line handler in the Port of Baton Rouge. Ports America has been the port’s primary general cargo stevedore and terminal operator since 1955. The docks provide deep-water (45 feet) access to 3,000 linear feet of wharf space for the handling of cargoes such as forest and paper products, heavy lifts, steel, bagged goods, bulk sugar, and other general cargo. |
